Tiered Wedding Cakes - What to know.

 Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of your wedding reception and will reflect your wedding theme, personality, and style.

We take a very limited number of cakes each week. Commission to procure our services start at $1000, and $2000 on Holidays, otherwise we are closed. We do not count the top tier into the number of servings since it is traditionally saved for the first anniversary. Your anniversary cake is the top tier. If you decided to eat it for breakfast the next day, you can certainly purchase a fresh anniversary cake with minimum of two weeks’ notice.

Fresh floral accents would be ordered through your florist. We place any flowers on the cake to complete the design and do ask that they be left on the cake table for placement. Colorado Rose Cake Company, LLC will not be responsible for any damage done to the cake as a result of floral placement by someone other than Colorado Rose Cake Company. Accents of fresh fruit, chocolate dipped strawberries, or sugar paste flowers are available at an additional charge.

We offer silver, brass, log, and glass stands and pedestals for a $40 rental fee. In most cases, all wedding cake parts and stands will be picked up by Colorado Rose Cake Company or a mailing envelope will be supplied. If the delivery site is not one of our regular delivery locations, we will ask for a deposit and for you to be responsible for the safe return of all parts and stands. These pieces will be due back the following week before Wednesday at which time your deposit will be returned.

All about the Groom's Cake!

Amid the bride’s feminine wedding plans with her dress, flowers, invitations, and wedding cake, the groom’s cake provides a way for the groom to make a statement of his own personality. Whether served the evening before at the rehearsal dinner, allowing a way to break the ice, or sitting proudly next to the bride’s cake at the reception, it will bring the groom into the spotlight, even if only for a moment. The groom’s cake is most often a rich chocolate confection, or another favorite flavor of the groom’s, in some type of design representing his favorite interest such as a school symbol, car, airplane, or bike. Whether it is a bride surprising her groom or something they have chosen together, it is sure to bring a smile to their guests’ faces and leave a wonderful memory.

 We use a frosting recipe that is balanced to not be overly sweet. 

What are your Gluten Free options?

We are a gluten friendly bakery meaning we are NOT a dedicated gluten free facility. Even though we take every possible precaution, if the gluten allergy is severe, we strongly recommend any gluten free products needed be supplied by another facility that is dedicated gluten free.

We do not offer the entire cake gluten free but are happy to provide a side cake or cupcakes (minimum 12 cupcakes or 6″ cake).

While we can make any gluten free cake any flavor. Some flavorings may be created in a facitlity that also handels wheat, soy and nuts. The safest flavors are yellow, chocolate, chai and cinnamon bun.

 

 

 

How do you price your standard cakes?

There are many variables that will go into the price of a wedding cake. Our prices can range from $10-$15 depending on design, color(s) and time needed for the design and set up.

Back up cakes for extra servings: For weddings over 150 guests, additional options include a decorated three tiered round wedding cake serving a minimum of 75 guests or more, plus a back-up iced only tier(s) (our version of the sheet cake) to supplement the servings for more guests. These servings when sliced would look identical to the main wedding cake.

**We offer a tasting plate for pick up with a follow up zoom consultation. **

For the tasting portion we offer, a pre-selected tasting plate available for pick up, good for two to share, each plate is $20.  It’s been a great way to have a interactive date night or fun gathering with family or friends.

With two weeks’ notice and prepayment of $35, we can accommodate special flavor requests by providing a single 6” in one flavor to take with you.

Ordering your Cake with Us.

We limit the number of wedding cakes we will do each week to ensure that your cake will receive our personal attention to every detail. Popular summer dates can book up quickly. We suggest that you book your wedding cake 6-12 months before your wedding date. Fall/Winter weddings, please order by May since our consultation times are extremely limited to mostly week dyas during our wedding season, May through October. We will make every effort to accommodate shorter notice.

Any changes can be made up to two weeks before your wedding date.

Delivery of your cake.

, Wedding cakes are delivered approximately 1 to 2 hours before the start of the wedding ceremony or reception, taking location conditions into consideration.

Payment & Deposit

Retainer
We require 1/3 of the order as the retaining/booking fee to hold our services for your date.  This is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation.

Forms of Payment
We do not accept credit cards, however personal checks, money orders, and cash are accepted. Payments through Zelle preferred. Please put the wedding date and bride/groom’s last name on the memo.

Payments may be made at any time but will be due in full no later than two weeks before the wedding date.

Cancellations

No refunds will be given for booked dates unless I am able to rebook that date. If rebooked all but the $100 will be refunded.

Super helpful tip from us!

Pay attention to the background behind your cake since it will be in all of your wedding cake pictures.  This is something that is often overlooked and later causes regret.  Just one more thing to think about, but makes the world of differnce for your lifetime photos!  

If you are thinking baout smasking the cake into the face of the one you love, I would reccomend a lighter cake with no preservatives.

Our Policies

Wedding Cake Booking fee: We require a 1/3 of the total as a booking fee/retainer for our services on your specified date. Due to the nature of custom wedding cake orders we may need to turn away business to fulfill our obligation to your order so no refund will be given if the date is canceled.

Refund Policy: Any amount paid beyond the booking fee will be refunded up until 90 days before the wedding. Within 90 days there will only be a refund if the date gets booked. The retaining fee is non-transferrable to another cake order if canceled.

Venue or Date change: If you are changing the venue or date after you placed an order with us it makes our previous order null and void, there will be no refund given. If you speak to us and we approve of the new venue and date we will redraft our agreement and all funds will go towards the new order, plus a possible $50 rebooking fee and any additional delivery fee.

Rebooking Fee: A rebooking fee of $50 will be applied to moving a pre-existing agreement to a new date, keeping the agreed rate per person, the same.

Postponement: In the event the date needs to be postponed. In the event CRCC is unavailable to deliver due to the new date or location CRCC will have something available for pick up.

Final Payments: Final payment is due no later than 2 weeks before your wedding date.

Unavoidable delivery occurrence: In the case of an unavoidable delivery occurrence, such as undrivable road conditions, inclement weather, flooding, fire, acts of God etc. There will be a delivery refund given, and you cake will be available for pick up.

Pick-up waiver: If you chose to have your cake picked up, CRCC is NOT responsible for damage to any cake once it has left. Since our cakes are made with ingredients that will MELT IN HEAT cakes should never be left in direct sunlight or in a hot vehicle. Cakes should be transported in a cool and flat area with plenty of space (the floorboard of a car or backseat is not suggested).

Cake Stands Rentals: There is an additional security deposit and fee for Cake Stand / Equipment Rentals that client is responsible for returning. The deposit will vary and will be based upon the value of the items being rented. The deposit is required on or before your final payment and will be held until the equipment is returned. Security deposits will be returned within 7 days of equipment rental return. All equipment must be returned within 6 days of the wedding and in the same condition it was delivered. In the event you neglect to return our equipment within 6 days of the wedding your security deposit may be held and applied toward its replacement cost.

Wedding Cake Orders: All wedding cake orders require 60 days’ notice. Any wedding cake orders placed after the 60-day deadline may be subject to additional charges, and designs may be limited.

Cake Variations:  The cake order form is a guideline for colors, design, and decorations but there might be slight variation due to artistic digression.

Design Confirmation: In any event that there is an error on the cake order form it is the client’s responsibility to make us aware of the needed changes. Order changes can be made up to 14 days from the event date.

Outdoor Events: Due to the effects of outdoor weather conditions, table on un-level ground, wind blowing undesirable atmospheric items (ie: dirt, leaves, branches, sunlight.), heat, insects and other wildlife, products such as icings, fillings, cake decorations, etc, may not hold up and cannot be insured past delivery and set-up.

Icing Colors:  We make every possible effort to match your wedding colors. However, to get as close as possible you must provide us with a color swatch. Colors tend to change so expect a slight variation. Dark colors may stain teeth and have a bitter flavor. Food colorings will not match your event colors perfectly. CRCC will try to recreate the colors you are looking for but there will be slight color variations

Allergies: We are not a gluten free establishment. We do our absolute best to not cross contaminate.  Many flavors we use have been made in a facility that also produces with dairy, egg, wheat, and nuts.

Flowers and non-edible decorations: In the case of fresh flower usage on the cake, CRCC takes no responsibility over the flowers being ordered and their adverse effects on guests. If the florist places flowers CRCC takes no liability if the cake is damaged. For non-edible decorations bling, ribbon, wires we are not liable if your guests eat them.

Changes: Changes to an existing order: 10% reduction in size will be accepted up to 3 weeks before your wedding. Cake style, flavor or filling may be made up to 2 weeks before the wedding. After that there will be no changes accepted.
